generatepokemon.net was created by independent Pokémon players, competitive VGC enthusiasts, and lifelong trading card collectors. We built the site because existing generators and card tools were cluttered with aggressive pop-ups, slow loading times, and inaccurate or outdated generation filters.

Data Sources & Accuracy

Our core Random Pokémon Generator runs on a verified 1,025-species National Pokédex dataset cross-referenced with PokéAPI, the open-source RESTful Pokémon database, and official game data. Every generation boundary—from Gen 1 Kanto (151) through Gen 9 Paldea (120)—is strictly indexed. Pokémon sprites and official artwork are delivered through high-resolution official artwork archives with optional shiny variations.

Update Frequency

Our database and calculators are audited and updated whenever new Pokémon video game installments, DLC expansions (such as Scarlet & Violet updates), or major Pokémon TCG sets are released. When new species or competitive mechanics debut, our offline pools and damage formulas are tested to match in-game mechanics.
